FLASH GORDON MUSIC has major label success with Alabama and Hank, Jr.
Hank Williams, Jr. has recorded a song that was co-written by Flash, Buzz Rabin and Hank, Jr. In The Arms of Cocaine was released on the Strong Stuff album. Hank did rewrite it a bit and made it into an anti-drug song. He put some great chords in the song and really recorded it right. For over a year Hank was doing the song in his live show and the folks were really responding. So he did put it on tape and could not have been done any better.
Just as a side note... Andy Griggs sang this song to the label folks and got a recording deal from that performance.
